Thanks for looking at my page. I strive to write novels that entertain, inform and provoke thought in a different way, having cut my literary teeth reading such authors as Upton Sinclair, John Steinbeck, Arthur Miller and other crusading writers too numerous to include in this introduction. The three authors named, as you may recall, exposed abuse in the meat packing industry in the 1920s, migrant labor in the 30s and congressional witch hunting in the 50s.
My works put light on such abuses as contemporary labor, prisons, coal mining and gender equality. I believe when you read any of my novels you will enjoy unlikely, although exciting, heroes challenging social ills, always with humorous insight. And here's the Formal Bio: Chuck Fair was born in Wheeling, WV. After serving in the Marine Corps, he moved to Southern California, where he wrote screenplays, later discovering his true calling, that of writing novels. He now lives in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California. |
